Role Summary

We are hiring a Commercial Lead to own the European business for a premium body-jewelry brand trusted by professional piercing studios worldwide. This is not a traditional territory sales role: you will take full ownership of the European region, building on an established wholesale customer base and strong industry relationships while driving the next phase of growth. You will expand key accounts, develop new business across the UK, Germany, France, Benelux, Scandinavia, Spain, Italy, and other high-potential markets, strengthen distributor partnerships, and represent the brand throughout Europe at trade shows and studio visits. Working closely with the U.S. headquarters team, you will help shape commercial strategy while serving as the primary face of the brand in market.

As the business grows, you will have the opportunity to help build and lead the European commercial organization. Ideal candidates think like owners, are equally comfortable with long-standing wholesale relationships and net-new business development, and have existing networks in the piercing, jewelry, tattoo, beauty, or premium lifestyle industries.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Develop and execute the commercial strategy across Europe
  • Expand business with existing wholesale customers while identifying and securing new accounts
  • Prioritize growth opportunities across key European markets (UK, Germany, France, Benelux, Scandinavia, Spain, Italy, and other high-potential regions)
  • Identify strategic partnerships that strengthen the brand's presence throughout Europe

Account Management

  • Manage and grow an established portfolio of wholesale customers
  • Build long-term relationships with professional piercing studios, distributors, and key accounts
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and identify opportunities to increase revenue within existing accounts
  • Deliver an exceptional customer experience that drives long-term loyalty

Brand Representation

  • Represent the brand at industry trade shows and events throughout Europe
  • Visit studios regularly to educate customers on products, merchandising, and best practices
  • Serve as a trusted ambassador for the brand within the European piercing community
  • Gather customer feedback and market intelligence to help shape future product development and commercial strategy

Commercial Leadership

  • Own regional sales forecasting, pipeline management, and performance reporting
  • Work closely with headquarters on product launches, inventory planning, pricing, and marketing initiatives
  • Recommend new market opportunities and commercial improvements based on customer and market insights
  • Help develop scalable processes to support continued European growth
  • As the business expands, help recruit, mentor, and develop future commercial team members

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in wholesale sales, business development, or commercial leadership
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue and managing key customer relationships
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills
  • Experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Comfortable working independently while collaborating closely with a global team
  • Fluent in English (written and spoken)
  • Based in Europe with willingness to travel extensively (approximately 40-60% of the time, including studio visits and trade shows)
  • Ability to commit long-term and full-time

Preferred Qualifications

  • Existing relationships within the professional piercing, jewelry, tattoo, beauty, or premium lifestyle industries
  • Experience working with distributors and international wholesale partners
  • Experience representing brands at trade shows and industry events
  • Fluency in one or more additional European languages (German, French, Spanish, Italian, or Dutch particularly valuable)
  • Prior experience building or leading a regional commercial team
  • Background in premium, design-led, or specialty consumer goods

Tools & Technologies

  • Salesforce or HubSpot CRM, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom, ERP / order management systems (NetSuite, Cin7, Shopify Plus, or similar), pipeline and forecasting tools, expense management platforms (Brex, Ramp, Expensify)
